Our Story

The owners of Rope and Resin Designs on their wedding. Vin's dress is white and green and she is kissing Saskia.

Vin and Saskia are a queer couple living in Seattle, WA, with their four fur babies. Saskia (they/them) identifies as a transmasc creature, while Vin (she/they) describes herself as a "queer lady-ish person."

Rope and Resin Designs began after Vin was diagnosed with Long COVID, leaving her permanently disabled. Struggling to connect with her changing body, she turned to crafting as a way to process her feelings and reclaim her sense of self. Exploring her sexuality became an essential part of that journey, inspiring her to create luxury BDSM inspired jewelry, collars, harnesses, and resin figurines that celebrate individuality and sensuality.

As Vin’s passion for creating designer bdsm jewerly grew, Saskia brought their leatherworking skills into the mix, and together they launched this store. Soon Vin was able to reach out and hire other disabled queers in looking for work. She feels so lucky to not only have found a way to regain her independence but also support her local community.

Rope and Resin Designs is a space for everyone, including disabled folks, to express and celebrate their sexuality.

Today, all profits from the shop go toward helping Vin rebuild her life, pay off medical debt, and support her community during these uncertain times.

Vin started R&R Designs after COVID left her disabled, she makes handmade chainmail & designer submissive jewelry.
